Paces team in tackles
Jenkins finished with 11 tackles (eight solo) in the Saints' 30-20 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Jenkins was all over the field Sunday, pacing the team in tackles. He finished his first regular season back in New Orleans with a healthy 91 tackles (69 solo), and he'll look to build on that production when he returns for the second year of his four-year deal in 2021.

Strong showing in Week 16 win
Jenkins finished with seven tackles (six solo), 1.5 tackles for a loss and 0.5 sacks in the Saints' 52-33 win over the Vikings on Friday.
Analysis: For the second week in a row, Jenkins trailed only Demario Davis for team lead in tackles. The half sack brings Jenkins' season total to 2.5 -- a career-best mark that he's hit in two other seasons. He'll look to finish the regular season strong when the Saints face the Panthers in Week 17.

Racks up 12 tackles
Jenkins totaled 12 tackles (10 solo) and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 32-29 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Analysis: Jenkins finished behind only Demario Davis (15) for team lead in tackles on what proved to be a busy afternoon for New Orleans' defense. Jenkins has enjoyed a successful 2020 campaign, and he'll look to keep the positive momentum going when the Saints face the Vikings on Friday in Week 16.

Timely fumble recovery in loss
Jenkins finished with five tackles (four solo), a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery in the Saints' 24-21 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Analysis: Jenkins provided the Saints' only forced turnover in this one, and his fumble recovery came at an opportune time. Trailing by 10 with under two minutes to play, Jenkins recovered an untimely Jalen Hurts fumble to set up a New Orleans touchdown that brought the team within a field goal of tying it up. Though the Saints ultimately lost the game, Jenkins helped put the team in position to make it a game. He'll get the Chiefs in Week 15 where he'll have the undesirable task of covering Kansas…read more

Another interception
Jenkins totaled five tackles (three solo) and an interception in the Saints' 27-13 win over the 49ers on Sunday.
Analysis: After failing to record an interception through his first seven games, Jenkins has now picked off the opposing quarterback in back-to-back weeks. His recent elite play will likely be relied upon when the Saints face the Falcons' explosive receiving corps in Week 11.

First interception of season
Jenkins totaled five solo tackles and an interception in the Saints' 38-3 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: The veteran led the Saints in tackling, only needing five in a game where the Buccaneers made very few positive plays on offense. Jenkins also came away with his 18th career interception and first of 2020. In his first season back with his former team, Jenkins has played an integral role in the secondary.

Good to go Monday
Jenkins (knee) won't carry an injury tag into Monday's game versus the Chargers.
Analysis: Jenkins was limited in practice all week, which is enough for the safety to avoid missing his first game since 2013. The 32-year-old safety has played every snap through four games and recorded 27 tackles, a sack and three pass breakups. With Janoris Jenkins (shoulder) ruled out and Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) questionable, Jenkins' work in coverage will be even more important Monday.

Puts in limited session
Jenkins (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.
Analysis: The three-time Pro Bowl defensive back has not taken a single defensive snap off since Week 17 of 2017, demonstrating the supreme durability and versatility Jenkins has provided to the Saints and Eagles over the course of his career. Jenkins has been impactful each of the past two games after a shaky outing against Darren Waller and the Raiders in Week 2, picking up 14 total tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass deflection in two contests since. If upgraded to full practice participation Friday…read more

Leads team in tackles
Jenkins recorded nine tackles (seven solo) and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 37-30 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Analysis: Jenkins paced the Saints in tackles Sunday, staying busy against a powerful Green Bay defense. He's up to 22 tackles on the season and is on pace to break the career-high 109 he set in that category in 2015 while with the Eagles.

Gets to quarterback in loss
Jenkins provided seven tackles (four solo), one sack, one pass defended and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 34-24 loss to the Raiders on Monday.
Analysis: The young safety provided at least six tackles and a pass defended for the second week in a row, earning his first sack of the season in the process. New Orleans boasts a strong run defense, leading to opposing offenses targeting the secondary and increased opportunities for players like Jenkins. He should be busy in Week 3 against Green Bay.

Returning to New Orleans
Jenkins agreed to a contract Wednesday with the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Jenkins was in New Orleans for the first five years of his pro career before playing for Philadelphia the past six seasons. The Saints presumably intend to let free agent Vonn Bell sign elsewhere, leaving Jenkins and Marcus Williams as the projected starting duo at safety. The 32-year-old Jenkins never missed a start with the Eagles, averaging 85.8 tackles, 9.7 pass breakups, 2.0 forced fumbles and 1.8 interceptions per season.

Option won't be exercised
The Eagles announced Tuesday that Jenkins' $7.85 million team option for 2020 has been declined.
Analysis: The 32-year-old, who hasn't missed a regular-season game since 2013, logged 81 tackles, 2.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in 2019, his sixth season with the Eagles. The six-foot, 204-pound safety should have no problem catching on elsewhere in the coming days, given the durability and leadership he can bring to his next team's secondary.

Prepared to hold out
Jenkins relayed that he won't play for the Eagles on his current deal in 2020, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Jenkins is scheduled to make $7.85 million in 2020 during the final year of his contract, but if he doesn't get a new deal, he doesn't plan on playing. The market for safeties is shifting, as Earl Thomas -- who turns 31 in May -- is set to make $15 million next season, and Landon Collins signed for a similar annual payout last March. Jenkins played every defensive snap in 2019 and recorded 81 tackles, 2.5 sacks, eight pass breakups and four forced fumbles.

Big tackling day in finale
Jenkins notched nine tackles (eight solo), one defended pass and one forced fumble during Sunday's win over the Giants.
Analysis: Jenkins has handled 100 percent of defensive snaps for Philadelphia this season, and he'll continue playing his every-down role in Sunday's wild-card playoff round against the Seahawks. The veteran concludes the regular season with 81 tackles (63 solo), 2.5 sacks, eight defended passes, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Records two sacks in loss
Jenkins logged six tackles (two solo) and two sacks in Sunday's 17-9 loss to Seattle.
Analysis: After a slow start to the year, Jenkins now has all 2.5 of his sacks on the year in his last three games. He is up to 52 tackles (38 solo) on the season.

Logs seven tackles in loss
Jenkins recorded seven tackles (six solo) in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: It was Jenkins' second-best game of the season in terms of tackle production, which stands to reason as he played all 74 of the Eagles' defensive snaps and a season-high 12 on special teams. He hasn't made many big plays this season, having made no interceptions while breaking up just three passes on the year.
